Rwandans have once more stood on their feet to express their sovereignty and love for their country and leadership today.
Hundreds of youths from all walks of life in Kigali and across the country today gathered to stage a protest against the BBC documentary which has been highly criticised by the head of state, experts and Rwandans in and outside the country.
During the peaceful protest from the Kigali business center to the parliamentary building, the youth carried various placards and chanted songs of patriotism in direct protest to the BBC authorities and all persons who continue to deny the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi.
Some of the songs chanted called on president Kagame to lead the nation with bravery so as to enable Rwanda grow the more.
Placards had messages such as “Rwandans love their leadership, BBC leave.”
The youths also used the opportunity to visit and take pictures of the 20th liberation monument at the Parliament, a symbol that significantly was an energiser for their cause and sense of patriotism on the day’s agenda.
