Kampeta Sayinzoga: Now Director of Cabinet.

The cabinet meeting chaired by President Paul Kagame this February 19 has seen major changes in top ministerial posts as some of the judicial judges have been either fired or suspended indefinitely

According to the ministerial order, the meeting approved the firing of national prosecutor- Olivier Gakuba Zireze Josué Nyiringango of the lower and upper instance court were relieved of their duties.

Even when there was no detailed explanation to their expulsion the move comes at a time when the ministry of Justice is undergoing intense changes to end corruption in the judiciary.

The same meeting also approved the resignation of other national prosecutor NKUSI Augustin, Kabano Jacques, and the indefinite suspension of Mary Saba, a financial administrator and David Karuhanga, a Contract Drafting Analyst/Senior State Attorney in the justice ministry.

The ministry of justice also saw appointments of new members in the Legal Litigation Service and Legal Advisory Service (LAS) and Lambert Dushimimana was also appointed head of legislative drafting and translation department at the Rwanda law reform commission.

The cabinet also made some new appointment which saw the former mayor of Kigali city Fidèle Ndayisaba appointed as the new executive secretary of the national reconciliation commission replacing Ambassador Dr. Jean Baptiste Habyarimana- who was recently appointed as the envoy to Congo Brazaville.

While in the ministry of sports and culture, Lt. Col. RUGAMBWA Patrice took over the post of Permanent secretary replacing Eduard Kalisa, and in the ministry of health, the former Permanent secretary Dr. Solange Hakiba Itulinde was replaced by Dr. Jean Pierre Nyemazi.

The same changes also were seen in the Prime minister’s office, with the former Director of Cabinet, Mirembe Alphonsine replaced by Kampeta Sayinzoga.
